Beat the Summer Heat at Local Splash Pads

A warming trend is forecast to continue through this weekend and peak on Monday, with highs expected to be near 80 degrees at the coast, and 90s to low 100s in the inland areas east of the I-15.

For families looking for relief from the summer heat, splash pads are wonderful places to have fun outside with the kids and cool down. The San Diego region is home to many splash pads and water parks, some of which are free or have nominal admissions fees.

Check out these recent compilations put together by 10News and Red Tricycle. While there is some overlap between the two lists, they each offer different levels and types of information.

10News lists 19 facilities by geographical region and includes admission information so it's easy to figure out which ones are close to you.

The Red Tricycle lists provides more detailed information for 18 facilities, including cost of admission, hours of operation and insider tips on parking and nearby amenities, such as shops, changing rooms, trails, and camping grounds.
