Public Hearings to be Held on SDG&E’s General Rate Case

Public Hearings to be Held on SDG&E’s General Rate Case

In March, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) will hold four public participation hearings to solicit feedback on SDG&E’s proposed budget for 2024-2027, known as a General Rate Case (GRC).

Every four years, regulated utilities in the state are required to file a GRC consisting of thousands of pages of details outlining their capital investments and forecasted costs for operations and maintenance. Filed last May, SDG&E’s proposal is centered around safeguarding energy reliability against growing climate threats.

In addition to maintaining high safety and reliability standards, our GRC also supports regional plans to reduce emissions, and the State of California’s goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045. Learn more at sdgeratesinfo.com.

Public Participation

All general rate cases are open and transparent proceedings conducted before the CPUC, involving extensive comments from customers, stakeholders and public interest advocates. You can participate in the hearings remotely or in person.
