Walk and Drive Toward Cleaner Air

Walk and Drive Toward Cleaner Air

Join SDG&E and the American Lung Association Sunday, Jan. 26, for the annual LUNG FORCE Walk and electric vehicle (EV) test drive at Liberty Station.

Enjoy a beautiful walk around Point Loma and test drive the latest EVs on the market, all in support of lung health in our community.

Clean air is fundamental to the health of everyone who lives in our region – air pollution causes or worsens a number of health conditions, including asthma, lung disease and even cancer.

As transportation emissions directly impact our air quality here in Southern California, our partnership with the American Lung Association connecting San Diegans with information and access to low or zero emission vehicles is more important than ever.

EV Test Drive

Have you been eyeing an EV? Now’s your chance to try one for yourself at the EV test drive. You don’t have to be a participant in the walk to test drive, and all you need is your driver’s license.

Local manufacturers are providing an impressive lineup of the latest EVs, including the Nissan Leaf, Jaguar I-Pace, BMW i3 or 530e, Tesla Model 3, Range Rover Sport plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, and others.

For every test drive you take, SDG&E will donate $20 on your behalf to the American Lung Association, and an additional $10 if you test drive a Tesla.  All test drive participants will be entered in a drawing, and three winners will receive a $1,000 rebate off the purchase or lease of a new EV or plug-in hybrid.
