SDG&E Adds EV Charging for MacArthur Park in La Mesa

Late last year, California surpassed 1 million electric vehicles on our roads! That’s great news for the environment as electric vehicles can help reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional vehicles. In an era of rising gas prices, electric vehicles can also help drivers save money when they “fuel up” since charging an EV costs about $2/gallon. What’s more, our region’s network of EV chargers is expanding through SDG&E’s Power Your Drive for Parks, Schools and Beaches program. Recently, SDG&E Director of Clean Transportation Jeni Reynolds celebrated the installation of new EV chargers at MacArthur Park with La Mesa Mayor Mark Arapostathis, Vice Mayor Jack Shu, Environmental Program Manager Hilary Ego.
