On June 10, at the San Diego Convention Center, the 2016 Energy Showcase began with an awards breakfast featuring 11 San Diego businesses that were named “Energy Champions” for their investments in, and commitment to, sustainability and energy efficiency.
The free Energy Showcase Expo followed the awards and it highlighted the latest money saving ideas for better energy performance, especially for businesses. Over 75 vendors displayed their energy saving products, services and technologies along with SDG&E’s Energy Solutions Center where customers could get questions answered about their bill and energy saving options.
The Expo also featured 20 alternative fuel vehicles for attendees to check out the latest models in hybrids and plug-ins along with information about SDG&E’s new pilot program “Power Your Drive”. Power Your Drive enables SDG&E to install 3,500 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across San Diego in apartments, condos and businesses.
