Going to Bat for...First Responders

Going to Bat for...First Responders

Each day, first responders selflessly put themselves in potentially dangerous situations to protect our neighborhoods, families and environment. Whether on the front lines or tirelessly working behind the scenes, firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics and relief organizations protect our region during emergencies and work to prevent future ones.

Supporting our region’s protectors

To show our gratitude to these dedicated men and women, San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) is donating $50,000 through the SDG&E-San Diego Padres partnership—Going to Bat for San Diego—to five of the key emergency support organizations serving the San Diego area.

Fans will have the chance to applaud these organizations’ efforts during a special First Responder Salute on the field at Petco Park before the September 21 Padres game:

SDG&E’s Chief Energy Delivery Officer, Caroline Winn, will present each organization with a $10,000 donation on behalf of the energy company, before throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.

Get your tickets today and come out to the ballpark to say thank you to the courageous individuals that keep the communities we call “home” safe.
