Tomorrow is the day: Electric Vehicle Day – the largest EV test drive event in town – will take place at Liberty Station in the Point Loma area of San Diego, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
A wide variety of the latest plug-in models – more than 40 pure electric and hybrid vehicles – will be available for FREE test drives. For those who are curious about what it’s like to drive a Tesla, know you will be able to get behind the wheels of the Model S, X, and 3.
It’s not just passenger cars that will be available; other types of larger plug-in vehicles, such as the Chrysler Pacifica hybrid mini-van and the Mitsubishi Outlander (a crossover SUV) will be part of the lineup for test drives.
In addition, there is something called the FUV – fun utility vehicle made by Arcimoto. It’s a pure electric, open-air, three-wheeler that can seat two people and drive a range of 70 or 130 miles per charge.

Drawings for $1,000 Electric Vehicle Rebates
During each hour of EV Day, Plug-In America, a nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the shift to plug-in vehicles, will have prize drawings for EV rebates – three $1,000 rebates will be given out at the end of each hour. A total of 15 rebates will go to lucky winners who will be able to use them to offset the purchase or lease price of a new fully electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle.
