#LetsVelozForum to Tackle What’s Next in Clean Transportation & Electric Vehicles

Policy and industry leaders who are driving California’s clean transportation and clean energy future will converge in San Diego on Thursday, March 14, for a day-long forum to discuss the latest trends and initiatives on electric vehicles.

The forum - “Surf's Up + EV Sales Up: What's Next” – is open to the public. To register for the event, click on this link. Lunch and beverages will be provided at the event. The cost of registration is $20. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The Agenda

The forum is led by Veloz, a public-private coalition of major electric industry stakeholders and sponsored by San Diego Gas & Electric. Veloz is the coalition behind the public awareness campaign, “Electric For All,” which aims to educate and inspire Californians to drive electric to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, fight climate change and clean the air we all breathe.

To date, more than 100 people have signed up to attend the conference. Attendees will include representatives from nonprofit organizations, local government, charging infrastructure providers, venture capital investors, automakers, California energy companies, transportation network companies, and state agencies, such as the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB).

Mary Nichols, CARB’s chair, will be the keynote speaker. Panel discussions include:

  • San Diego's initiatives on electric cars, infrastructure and incentives
  • Accelerating charging station deployment – challenges and opportunities
  • Update from Electrify America about its efforts to build an ultrafast and convenient charging network
  • Update on Veloz's “Electric For All” public awareness campaign
