If you’ve been hankering to get behind the wheels of the latest and greatest in zero emission driving, such as the Tesla Model S, Honda Clarity and Chevrolet Bolt, here is your chance.
Electrify America is bringing its Discover and Drive Tour to the Otay Ranch Town Center in Chula Vista this week. The event starts today and will run through Sunday. We’ll be there sharing our knowledge of electric vehicles (EVs) and providing information about our Power Your Drive program, which installs EV charging stations at apartments, condo complexes and businesses at low or no cost.

Registration is required and a valid driver’s license is required for test drives. Advance registration is available here.
According to Electrify America, the Discover and Drive Tour will offer test drives for one or more of the following vehicles that present the latest technology in longer range zero emissions driving:
- Tesla Model S
- Chevrolet Bolt
- BMW i3
- Nissan Leaf
- Volkswagen E-golf
- Honda Clarity (battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell models)
- Additional pre-owned and affordable models
The Discover and Drive Tour is happening throughout major metro areas in California as part of Electrify America’s initial $200 million investment in California to increase zero emission vehicle infrastructure, education and access.

Electrify America has plans to conduct additional outreach and education activities in California to help the Golden State accelerate its transition to clean transportation. Its plans include five additional events in disadvantaged, low income and undeserved communities. Overall, the organization expects to invest a total of $800 million in California.
